Globe-Doccers

Documentary filmmakers Kief Davidson, director of Kassim the Dream, and Daniel Junge, director of Iron Ladies of Liberia encourage the making of compelling stories, like the all-time classic Star Wars.

Kassim the Dream is about a child soldier who escapes his past of being forced to commit horrific atrocities by coming to America and becoming Junior Middleweight Champion of the World. I got a chance to watch Iron Ladies of Liberia which is an inspiring documentary about Liberia's President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf's first year in office as she tackles corruption, grapples with debt, poverty and the aftermath of war, and has an unusual political knack for being honest. Maybe women should rule the world?
